Very reliable sources has confirmed that Ban on Youtube will be lifted in next 20 days in Pakistan. During a Media Briefing, Chairman of Pakistani Telecommunication Authority, Mr. Farooque Awan stated that Video sharing website Youtube will be opened in Pakistan in next few days.
In the same Media briefing, Mr. Awan also stated that from 1st December, 2012, individuals will be able to issue only 5 SIM on 1 CNIC and only Mobile Network franchises will be permitted to issue SIM's.
It is to remind you all that Youtube got banned in Pakistan in September 2012 due to wide spreading Blasphemy Video against the Prophet SAWW. Pakistani High authorities demanded Youtube to remove that particular video from their website but Youtube denied to do so. Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to ban Youtube in Pakistan immediately.
